Surrealism

Ever since I had the ability to pick up a pencil I have always drawn, painted, sculpted, photographed (etc etc etc) an imaginary world. A world that I wish others were able to see. I guess that I’m one of those few adults that has still been able to hold onto my imagination… I feel very lucky for that.

I’ve always viewed myself as more of a “fine artist” (if you will…). I don’t think my style always fits into conformity. My favorite project in college was one where I took street portraits of friends, and replaced their heads with forks, spoons, and knives.

I think its important to take time out of your day and try to look at the world differently. Try to imagine the unimaginable. Below is one of my surreal landscapes that I’ve been working on.
